The Lerdo Support Services Division consists of 7 subordinate work units. The work units operate to assist the Detentions Bureau and the Department in accomplishing the goal of maintaining a safe, secure and effective jail system. These work units include: inmate commissary, food service, laundry services, Lerdo warehouse, maintenance services, classification and inmate service; which includes the law library, inmate education programs, inmate telephones, and chaplain services and released inmate transportation. The Lerdo Support Services Division is staffed with a Detentions Lieutenant, 2 Detentions Sergeants, 4 Senior Detentions Deputies, 27 Detentions Deputies, 25 civilian employees and 57 contract employees.
