| The Financial Services Section is responsible for all matters financial in the Sheriff's Office. This includes, but is not limited to: Accounts payable and receivable; billings to/from allied agencies; the budget (development & implementation/tracking), inter-fund transfers; journal vouchers, employee advances and expense accounts; payroll for approximately 1,100 employees bi-weekly; grant administration and tracking; inmate accounts and banking; all financial and administrative aspects of departmental projects; accounting for and reconciliation of all Special Revenue and Trust Funds; forecasting all revenues and expenditures; balancing the Office's budget at fiscal year end; and preparation of each ensuing fiscal year's budget. |
