The Undersheriff reports directly to the Sheriff and is responsible for the operational oversight of the entire Sheriff’s Office. The Undersheriff acts for and on behalf of the Sheriff in his absence and whenever requested. The Undersheriff supervises the bureaus and divisions of the Sheriff’s Office through their respective Chief Deputies and commanding officers. The Financial Services Section, Researching and Planning Section and the Public Information Officer operates under the direct supervision of the Undersheriff.
